The Big Move
After more than a century in existence, the Eudist House at 6125 1st Avenue in Charlesbourg has been sold. The physical archives have been distributed among dioceses, universities, and historical societies. Digitizing and cataloging them took several years of work.
Finding Documents and Their Context
The archives contain writings, photographs, and testimonies related to Eudist individuals and institutions. The organization by author, title, date, and location facilitates research and helps contextualize each document.
Corde Magno: Browse the North American Collections
The Corde Magno app provides access to the archives of the Vicariate of North America. It links descriptive references to a search of the content of the digitized documents.
Collections Entrusted to Partners
Donations to Laval University help preserve old books, postcards, and glass plate photographs, while opening up new research opportunities. The collection of Father Joseph-Marie Courtois (1877–1951) in particular depicts scenes of life in Europe and Canada.
View and Reuse
To locate a collection or prepare a publication, identify the document you are looking for and check the terms of reuse with the institution that holds it. The archives page requires that the credit “Les Pères Eudistes Collection” be included when publishing its photographs.
